Travel: What time is that? @ NZ, Paihia (Answer & Update)
Now a little quiz just for fun ... What time do you think this photo was taken? Taken at NZ, Paihia in Dec 2005. Cheers!
Answer: 9pm NZT
Can you imagine this is 6:30pm NZT??!!!
And this one is 8:39pm NZT :)
Actually it works to our advantage. More daylights means we have more time to go around. When we drove back at 6pm, it still looks like sunny afternoon! :)

how come there are pictures of so many countries?
do you always go travelling or are these back log pictures you've took along time ago?
damn jealous man...
Let's see...Southern hemisphere would make it the equivalent of May into June...6:45 AM, right?
looks like midnight to me
I agree with foodcrazee, with the lights in the houses on, it's probably night-time and knowing that slurp! will try to pull a fast one on us, I'll say it's late at night even though it may look like it's early evening :)
andrian,
most of short trips, the NZ being the longer one to make the most out of air ticket (it's expensive!) :P budget airlines makes travelling much more affordable, of coz if you want to stay in 5stars luxury, then that's a different story.
wp, 6:45AM, nah .... couldn't be, I'm still ZZ-land ;P
foodcrazee, no midnight sun there leh ...
cath, close, too bad you didn't try putting in any figures ...
Boy, was I ever wrong! I didn't believe that New Zealand would be far down enough to have the same twenty-two hour daylight effect as Alaska or the Nordic countries do during the Northern hemisphere's summer.
Kia Ora (Hello) from another passerby !!! This one not a million miles away in Auckland. Your first photo - should the time be am not pm !!! It looks that dark in the morning or are you trying to pull the wool over our eyes !!! Can I mention your blog on one of my blogs ???
wp, i'm even more clueless about these stuffs haha ... any the lights in houses gives a clue that it's night time?
kelvin, thanks for dropping by
i'm pretty sure it is 9pm. even adjusted so that it looks like what I would have seen with my naked eyes.
I don't have early morning shots in Paihia. but I do have some at 7am in Hamilton & Tairua (Coromandel Penisular). will put them up soon.
of zo you're most welcome to mention about my blog in your *ahem* which blog??? oh gosh, there are so many!!! o_O
